One pretty early morning\nI've got one cool idea: \n\"What if I'll make an artwork\nOn paper\u2026 And with oil.\nI know what to do.\"\n\nThis wasn't my first attempt,\nI did it earlier a time or two,\nAnd knew this had to be an interesting project.\nThere are two keys for it to be successful,\nTwo things that one should know:\n\nThe first is Speed and second is the Plan\u2026\nWithout speed one cannot make it work\n\"In time\" i.e. until the self-imposed deadline.\nWithout plan the work becomes chaotic\nAnd stays in \"Work In Progress\" state for long\u2026\n\nThe paper doesn't like when paint is applied too many times,\nGets wet, pigments detach, the picture blurs.\nAnd yet that very same material will \"eat\" the oil\nSo fast you'll have some mere seconds to change your stroke\nTo \"smear\" the paint, pick up a hair.\n\nStill there are no clear lines,\nExcept for where there are some\n(I used my marker to \"mark\" (pardon the pun)\nThe lines of full-sized sketch)\nColors blend and mesh and blur and match\n\nThey dance, they change, they're doing what they should.\nHow come I did it? What have I used?\nJust paper, plain sheet of old and somewhat soft-ish paper.\nPut paint down, use brush with gentle bristles\nAnd then just \"polish\" on this place.\n\nYou'll have some seconds more to do all that\nAnd hence why I said \"Plan is second key\"\nYou plan on where and when and what should be.\nWhat color, shape, material to use.\nWhere put some more, where leave it be\u2026\n\nYet still one question is on table\n(While text gets longer more and more\u2026)\nWhy Map? Because it was \"Recursive map\" when sketch was made\nThen changed to just a map, retaining compass, island\nSome cliffs, some buildings and pretty little bay.<\/pre>\n<\/div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
