Let’s clear one thing outright: this would be a fan-art. If to be even more specific – Warframe fan-art.

Now onto the picture’s story:

One day I was making another attempt at getting something good-looking in Warframe’s captura with my thoughts going in a general direction of: “hey, other people can do awesome screenshots, so can I”. Coincidentally, this (second or third to be honest) venture into the art of “screenshotmaking” was right after Nightwave season 1, which added new, admittedly pretty good-looking, captura scene in my collection. Below to the left you see the screenshot I made, conveniently provided for comparison to a linoprint.

Adjusted hues, dropped on some effects, changed camera position, covered it all with distance-limited black&white (which is different from greyscale filter by the way. At least in captura it is) filter then edited it a bit and added some text for fun.

Above to the right we can see linocut I made from that same screenshot. Three colors, applied one by one. About half a dosen attempts were made to get good registration of colors, while avoiding paper yellowing from oil paint I’m using (most efficient solution was to use something thicker than office paper :)) and acceptable print quality, given that I have no access to any kind of a press, which means one thing – hand-printing.

Print size: 9.5×14.5cm

P.S. Color may be distorted due to whatever reason. Actual colors are Mars Black, Cadmium Red Medium and Grey. Fixed it, now colors are as they appear in reality. WordPress loves 8bit RGB pictures.

P.P.S. For some reason picture comparison may not show up in Desktop Chrome browser.
